The vision of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at PERI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, empowering them to transform their ideas into successful businesses and contribute meaningfully to economic growth and societal development.
Mission
I love to work in User Experience & User Interface designing. Because I love to solve the design problem and find easy and better solutions to solve it.
Objectives
- To cultivate entrepreneurial awareness: Engage students in activities that promote entrepreneurial thinking and provide exposure to real-world business challenges.
- To provide mentorship and guidance: Offer expert mentorship and guidance to students who wish to develop their business ideas or startups.
- To organize skill development programs: Conduct workshops, training, and seminars that focus on key entrepreneurial skills, including business planning, leadership, marketing and financial management
- To create networking opportunities: Facilitate interaction between students, successful entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders to foster collaborations and partnerships.
- To support startups: Provide resources, co-working spaces and seed funding opportunities to help students launch their own ventures.
- To promote social entrepreneurship: Encourage students to create businesses that address social issues and promote sustainable development.
Activities
Activities of EDC:
- Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs (EAPs): Workshops, seminars and guest lectures by industry experts to raise awareness about entrepreneurship and startup culture.
- Business Plan Competitions: Events where students can pitch their ideas and win seed funding and mentorship.
- Startup Incubation: Providing mentorship, resources and infrastructure to help students develop their business ideas into successful startups.
- Skill Development Workshops: Training on entrepreneurship-related skills like business model development, financial planning and marketing.
- Networking Events: Hosting events such as meetups and networking sessions to connect students with investors, entrepreneurs and industry experts.
- Investor Pitching Sessions: Offering opportunities for students to pitch their business ideas to potential investors.
